At Terra Mia Construction, we just finished an antique bathroom renovation in Las Vegas. The old bathroom had a big built-in tub, dark marble counters, and a shower design that made the space feel heavy and closed in. The style was fine years ago, but it no longer fit what the homeowners wanted today.
Our job was to open up the space, make it brighter, and give it a cleaner look while keeping some classic touches. We started by removing the old tile, heavy counters, and built-in tub. In their place, we added new features that make the room feel open and welcoming.
The shower was rebuilt as a large walk-in with clear glass walls and custom niches framed in wood. This gives the space a mix of modern function and warm detail. The old built-in tub was replaced with a freestanding soaking tub, which instantly made the room look bigger.
We installed new custom cabinets with plenty of storage and added under-cabinet lighting for a soft glow. The counters are a light marble-look surface that is strong and easy to maintain. For the walls, we used stone and wood accents that give the room a natural and timeless feel.
Lighting was also updated. Instead of the flat ceiling lights from before, we added a chandelier and wall sconces that match the antique style while giving better light. Now the room feels brighter and more balanced.
Looking at the before and after photos, the difference is clear. The bathroom went from dark and dated to clean, warm, and inviting. The homeowners are very happy with the results, and they now have a space that fits their lifestyle while keep a touch of classic design.
